Fredderick is a Wappenrock - one of the gentry who can wear the skin of animals. He is also the heir apparent of Kaiserreich, a peaceful state on the eastern coast of North America where titles of nobility are not merely inherited, but sold along with their entailed estates.

And now his legacy is in doubt. When he discovers his family is in the debt of a man who would be Kaiser, Fredderick must consent to an arranged marriage or risk losing his family's titles. Unwilling to accept this fate, Fredderick agrees to take a bride.

But with just one year and one day to lay claim to the throne, he soon finds politics, tradition, and a failing harvest keep getting in the way. Only time will tell if he survives the season, let alone the assassins . . ..

And it already has TWO 5-star reviews! OMG. This excites me so much -- I feel like my writing career is actually going somewhere, as this has been my best-selling story to date (for its release, I mean).

1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? 11 years. I think I lurked before that.

2. What does your username mean? Joshin-Yasha = "Goddess Demon"

3. Describe yourself in three words. Artist, writer, creator

4. Are you left or right handed? Right handed. Occasionally I'll try things with my left hand. Not pretty.

5. What was your first deviation? Harry Potter fan art, but I think I've long since removed it?

6. What is your favourite type of art to create? Any and everything.

7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Digital art. My skills are passable, but I would love to do better.

8. What was your first favourite? The same Harry Potter fanart that is no longer here.

9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Digital art.

12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? I have a muse who encourages me to finish my writing and art. She knows who she is

13. What are your preferred tools to create art? Keyboard, mouse, Intuos tablet

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? Anywhere, really. The mood will strike me as it strikes me.

15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? The first time I had a deviation exceed 100 favs.

I haven't done much art lately. I know there are still several kiriban prizes that I owe folks, so please don't think I've forgotten you. I will get them to you, no matter how long it takes me.

I've been focusing on my original writing, trying to get set up to make the leap from standard day job to full-time writer. I've still got a way to go, but I've got a promising 120,000+ word manuscript that I'm in the process of revising before sending it off to query some agents and publishers. I've been pitching it to friends as "Pride and Prejudice IN SPACE w/mechsuits".
